App review exchange credits: from submission to settlement

Learn how ClickTree review tasks, reserved budgets, evidence, owner verification, and credit settlement fit together.

What an exchange does

An app review exchange connects developers who want people to experience their apps and publish store reviews. In ClickTree, developers complete review tasks to earn credits, then use available credits to fund tasks for their own apps.

Credits organize the community workflow. They are not a promise of positive ratings, a fixed number of published reviews, or a change in store ranking. The app’s availability and other developers’ participation affect which tasks can be completed.

Follow the task through its stages

A reviewer claims an eligible task, provides installation evidence, uses the app, and submits a record of the review published on the relevant store. The record includes the reviewer’s own words and rating.

Installation can create an on-hold reward, but that balance cannot be spent. For a standard task, the installation and review components settle together after owner verification. A visible pending balance is different from available credits.

Understand owner verification

The app owner checks the submitted record. Automated screenshot checks can assist, but they do not replace the owner’s decision. Missing information may need clarification, and disputed review decisions have an appeal path.

Settlement uses a traceable credit ledger so the same task cannot be paid twice. Reviewers should retain the information necessary to identify their published record while keeping private account details out of public descriptions.

Read store policies independently

Credit settlement is a product rule, not approval from Apple or Google. Google Play prohibits incentivized ratings and reviews, and a credit-based arrangement may fall within that restriction. Review the store policies before using an exchange. Verification and freely chosen star ratings do not guarantee policy compliance or review retention.
